Karen Mitchell
The idea of having an open heart is to let love and feelings flow in and out of our hearts without judgment. Whatever you are feeling is OK.
My practice is rooted in the desire to support, empower, and educate clients. I believe my clients are capable and resilient, and that together we can develop skills to create change. I am passionate and vocal about issues of social justice and I use inclusive and multicultural approaches in my work.
The framework that I use pulls from several modalities and theoretical orientations to create a custom therapeutic approach to meet each individual’s needs. I use a lot of cognitive behavioural therapy in my work and focus on skill building. I work with you to build skills and techniques to navigate the challenges that life presents.
We aim to empower clients to navigate life's challenges, develop resilience, and discover their inner strengths. We believe in the transformative power of counselling, and we strive to help our clients lead happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.
